Andy Warhol - A Coloring Book
Description:
In 1953, a young artist, Andy Warhol, made his way in the commercial illustration world of New York City. His former employer, Arthur Edelman, shares in an intro note that Warhol stood in the Empire State Building's hallway with Jackson Pollock shoes, a shabby black suit, a portfolio, and a shock of white hair, waiting outside a shoe manufacturer's office. Warhol went on to create numerous ads for the Edelmans, a whimsical colouring book designed exclusively for clients' children as a Christmas gift in 1961. This book, published in 1990, was quite the talk of the town. Though the original edition was only 24 pages long, Warhol actually drew many more images in the mid/late 1950s and early 1960s.
This revised edition includes many of these additional drawings, making Andy Warhol - A Colouring Book a delightfully playful and charming experience for a new audience.
